Chief Executive of MEPC Rick de Blaby delivered an exclusive presentation and tour on Wednesday 13th February 2008 to the Yorkshire and North East branch of The Association of Women in Property of their Wellington Place development, a 22 acre city centre site in Leeds that will provide in excess of three million square feet of offices, residential, hotel, retail and leisure use. The development includes an urban beach', a unique feature of the scheme on the River Aire frontage.
The event was sponsored by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors and MEPC and provided an insight into one of the largest regeneration projects in Yorkshire. The scheme, a joint venture between MEPC and Hermes has been masterplanned by Leeds architect Carey Jones in collaboration with Fielden Clegg Bradley Architects and the world renowned landscape architect Martha Schwartz. Two phases of the scheme have already been completed, the latest being the delivery of 120,512 sq ft at No. 2 Wellington Place.
