Title: Women in Property 15th Annual Dinner an Overwhelming Success!
The Central Scotland Branch of Women in Property held their most successful dinner to date at the Sheraton Hotel in Edinburgh on Friday 3rd March. The exquisite surroundings of the Sheraton provided the perfect setting for the 15th Annual Dinner, which was attended by 480 male & female guests from some of the leading companies in the property & construction industry
The dinner marks the end of Ann MacLean of Yeoman McAllister’s year as Chairman. In her welcome speech, Ann highlighted the success that the Branch has achieved over the past year and the role that networking in particular has played in this. Maria Francke of Drivers Jonas will take over as Chairman at the end of March and aims to build on this success in the coming year to keep the Central Scotland Branch as one of the most successful in the UK.
Ros Taylor, leading UK psychologist, successful businesswoman, author and TV/Radio presenter provided excellent after dinner entertainment with a humorous and light-hearted speech, much to the delight of many of the guests who have attended other industry dinners! We are also pleased to announce that thanks to the generous donations of the guests and some excellent raffle prizes, £6,578 was raised for our nominated charity, Alzheimer Scotland.
AWG Property Ltd were the main sponsors of the event and made a huge contribution to the success of the evening. Our thanks also go to the Holmes Partnership who provided additional sponsorship, GP Plantscape who provided the flowers for the tables, and Turnberry Homes and George Wimpey who provided spot prizes at the start of the evening.
We are looking forward to next year’s dinner at the Radisson in Glasgow on 23 February 2007 – make sure you get your booking forms in early!
