Title: Tower of London - Write Up

A group of 20 members and guests enjoyed a lunchtime visit to the Tower of London
on 16 October, arranged by Historic Royal Palaces. Whilst the iconic Norman White Tower is being cleaned and repaired,
we were invited to take a look behind the hoardings and explore the building conservation techniques
and traditional crafts being used.

Our tour on the
scaffold was led by a Conservator working on site
and Historic Royal Palace's Surveyor of the Fabric.

The
tour was followed by a talk on the work of Historic
Royal Palaces over a sandwich lunch.
