Title: Past Regional Chairman to advise the Women’s Fund for Scotland

Nicola Barclay, a past Regional Chair of Women in Property, has been invited to join the Advisory Group of the Women’s Fund for Scotland. The Fund was the recipient of £7000 raised at the 2008 Annual Dinner, and the relationship built up with the Fund during this time has culminated in this invitation.

Nicola will be part of a group whose key roles are to promote the Fund to professional networks and philanthropists, with the aim of building the Fund to £1,000,000 by 2011.

The Women’s Fund for Scotland is one of over 100 Women’s Funds worldwide, and as of April 2008 they have awarded £1,000,000 to 448 projects across all 32 local authorities. The money has helped women facing a range of challenges associated with inequality, disability, ethnicity, single parenthood, ill health and domestic abuse.
