Title: Chairman's Cocktail Party

Members and guests of the Central Scotland Branch enjoyed a relaxing evening of drinks and canapés at the Chairman’s Annual Cocktail Reception in Edinburgh on 13th September 2007.

The event, which celebrated Nicola Barclay’s year as Chairman, was held at the newly refurbished headquarters of HBOS plc and was sponsored by Thomas & Adamson and HBOS plc.

Guests were given a private viewing of the Banking Museum and a talk by Alex Keighren, Project Manager for the prestigious refurbishment project. The evening continued with free flowing wine and the chance to socialise with friends and colleagues.

Chairman Nicola Barclay, Land Director at MacFarlane Homes, commented on the success of the branch and noted that membership numbers had risen by 60% over the past two years. She thanked the committee for their continued hard work in ensuring that events run smoothly and also the numerous companies who have provided sponsorship. Without both of these, we would not be able to run such a varied and interesting programme of events.

The Cocktail Party is one of the highlights of the social calendar and the evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
