Title: Annual Dinner raises £4,500 for Anthony Nolan Trust

The Central Scotland Branch of the Association of Women in Property held its 16th Annual Dinner at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Glasgow on 23rd February 2007.

Over 450 guests from the property and construction industry attended the sell out event which marked the end of Maria Francke’s year as Chairman. Maria, who is a Partner with Drivers Jonas and Head of Planning and Development for the firm in Scotland, said: “The annual dinner is always the highlight of our calendar year and marks the end of a very successful year for the Branch. We’ve seen a surge in membership numbers with 100 new members joining in the last 12 months alone which is a testimonial to the running of more meaning events and activities for our members. Central Scotland is now the second largest Branch in the country.”

One of the highlights of the evening was the charity raffle in aid of the Anthony Nolan Trust. 17 companies kindly donated an array of fabulous prizes and £4,500 was raised for the charity which provides lifesaving donors for patients in need of a bone marrow transplant.

Preparations are already underway for next year’s dinner which will be held in Edinburgh. Nicola Barclay of MacFarlane Homes will now take over the Chairman’s role.
