Title: Report from RICS/WiP lunch time seminar

RICS/ WiP Lunch time Seminar. Sponsored by Pinsent Masons.

The RICS are jointly organising with WP seminar lunches to discuss 'Raising the Ratio' of female surveyors. With the support and sponsorship of Pinsent Mason, we held a seminar at their offices. The event was very well attended after presentations from Jonathan Harris (chair of RICS Raising the Ratio Task Force), Pat Morton (Principal Lecturer Sheffield Hallam University) and Louise Ellison (Senior Lecturer & Research Director - School of Surveying at Kingston University) a lively debate took place on the subject.



Some of the main points raised were:

How to change the attitude of companies - to encourage them to offer flexible working hours and a beneficial work/life balance for qualified female surveyors with families and other ties.
To try &remove barriers that stop women from entering the profession.
